The Girls Cross Country Team heads to the starting line hoping for a good race. Though the race did not go as planned, the team pulled off a 7-0 win over all other teams in the MAC White. South’s top runner was Sarah Koval ’25, finishing in first with an overall time of 20:59.

South’s no. 3 doubles players Joseph Guthat ’26 and Ashton Zimmerman ’25 are some of the only upperclassmen currently on the team. Guthat says that they are focusing on matches in their region and division. They lost to North 1-6 and 4-6 with a major comeback in the second set. “It’s been a lot of fun and I’ve definitely made improvements,” Guthat said. “We had a rough start at first. Then, we started to play better, but we just couldn’t pull through."
