While being on Tower for three years, I have come to learn that the types of stories I like to write the most align with my love for sweet treats: food reviews. The first food review I completed was in April of 2024, and my last food review is being completed now in April 2026. Over the years, I have written five food reviews and completed two TikTok food reviews. So, for my final story on Tower, I thought it would be fitting to complete a final, cumulative review of my top four favorites.
Coming in fourth is a Crumbl Cookie review, which I reviewed in October 2024. This particular week was Crumbl’s “Birthday Week,” so they had many collaborations with their cookies. My favorite cookie from this week was their Caramel Shortbread ft. TWIX. My favorite part about this cookie was that it was cold and wasn’t super sweet compared to some of the other cookies in the lineup that week. The caramel wasn’t overpowering the chocolate, and the cookie wasn’t super dry.
At third is another cookie review from October 2024, which focused on the Party Animal cookie from Dirty Dough. It was a stuffed cookie with frosting and animal cracker bits inside. I liked the uniqueness of the flavors compared to other cookie stores. It was very sweet, but I felt that if I had around half the cookie, it would be good.
The second-place item was the Starbucks Lavender Cream Frappuccino. This was my first food review in April of 2024, where I reviewed the Starbucks spring menu. This drink had a good balance of lavender and vanilla, so neither was too overpowering. It is something I still love to this day and often get.
Lastly, the top food item I have reviewed is the ice cream waffle from JJ’s Custard Company in Grosse Pointe that I tried in September of 2025. It was my favorite because it is something unique I haven’t seen anywhere else, which was a lot of the items on the menu. The waffles were freshly cooked with their wide variety of ice cream flavors. This food item is something I would gladly get again.
