As the second semester begins, the classes at South are seeking many opportunities to continue raising money for their activities. The class of 2028 has decided to put on a parents’ night out (PNO). The event takes place on Feb. 6, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., for parents to drop off their kids in the safe hands of the students. Class of 2028 President, Avery Stevenson ’28, reflects on the group’s efforts in making this night possible.
“The majority of this event is really reliant on the wonderful people within our council itself and in the planning of this specifically, we were able to divide into groups and provide our strengths in different areas,” Steveson said. “But, I also have to give an insane amount of credit to the parents and other supporters who have been involved with the preparation and promotion of this event.”
With exciting games, crafts, popcorn, pizza and a movie, the kids are sure to never be bored. The class has worked hard to put together a relaxed night for parents looking forward to a break from babysitting, and an eventful night for the children attending.
“The class of 2028 was actually lucky enough to inherit this event from last year’s graduating class, so we were able to host a joint PNO last spring, which definitely taught us and helped a lot when planning this event,” Stevenson said. “That being said, we are looking forward to hosting our first individual version of this event on Friday.”
