Leila Oskui ’26, Supervising Multimedia Editor
After winning a competition in eighth grade to have her story about mental health published in the Tower, Supervising Multimedia Editor Leila Oskui ‘26 signed up for honors journalism her freshman year.
“I originally wanted to do copy editing, but then I got forced into a page editing position,” Oskui said. “Somewhere along the lines, a camera got put in my hands and that’s how I ended up where I am today.”
With her plethora of clubs, piano lessons, honor societies, sports and leadership positions, Oskui also finds herself mentoring middle schoolers in their Christian faith journeys as a WyldLife leader.
“YoungLife has been a major part of my life since my sophomore year,” Oskui said. “It reconnected me with my faith and helped me build a community, which saved me from a dark place I was in.”
After high school, Oskui hopes to find herself getting a degree in either nuclear or mechanical engineering and eventually going into the military.
“My dream school is the Naval Academy, but if not, I want to do Naval ROTC and commission into the Marines and do Marine Air,” Oskui said.
