Christmas is around the corner, and people need to start making lists of things they need. Students’ online shopping carts fill up with massive amounts of clothes and other items, causing stress about what to ask for. Going to the store to find these clothes can make people’s lives much easier and help Christmas shopping run smoothly.
Sometimes, items are better to find in person to ensure that the quality lives up to the standards one is looking for. Certain things, like makeup or perfume, should be shopped for in person. Going in person can give someone an overall good experience by making it more personal. It also allows you to take a closer look at products, while also having people there to help you find what you are looking for. Testing things out before spending money on items can be helpful to ensure that they will be used. There are so many more things to offer when shopping in person, ranging from testing products to getting your pants hemmed.
Most stores have the opportunity to get an offer in person, especially during Christmas time. Although they may have sales online, one will still have to pay for shipping. Shopping online versus in-person can come down to pricing and experience. When making a list for Christmas, it is more valuable to know that the items you’re having others purchase truly fit and are at the best price possible. One of my favorite things about shopping in person is trying on the clothes, and if the color I want is out of stock, you can have the people who work at the store ship the item to your house. This can be helpful because I know that something works, and I’m getting all the offers and discounts I can while being there.
Living in Grosse Pointe, one of the things it is known for is the small businesses. The people who own these businesses work hard around the holidays to make sure each type of person has what they are looking for. With online shopping, it is hard to support these businesses that don’t have stores. Around the holidays is the best time to take a couple of hours out of one’s day to go support these places.
