The long-anticipated Chick-fil-A Mack Avenue finally opened on Nov. 13 and it did not disappoint. Cars packed the parking lot, flooding into the streets, carrying excited cow-dressed passengers. Customers who dressed up got a free meal. At the outdoor eating area, the workers handed out drawstring backpacks, keychains, and cow-stuffed animals for extra delight.
Although the line was massive, eager customers didn’t mind the wait. Teddy Gmeiner ’27 highlighted the efficiency and friendliness of the workers.
“Even though the line was super long,” Gmeiner said. “The workers did a great job of getting our food to us quickly with a smile.”
Gmeiner explained why he was thrilled to finally test the new Chick-fil-A and stated that he will surely return in the future.
“It’s a great lunch option,” Gmeiner said. “It’s super exciting that we can go to Chick-fil-A for our off-campus lunch because it is so close to South.”
