“Everyone really came ready to play,” Baer said. “Considering Dexter is a powerhouse. I give all the credit of my goals to the team, we make good cuts and strong passes and set each other up.”
With the team being eight games in and halfway through the season, they are on track to accomplish their goal of being undefeated. Team captain Sela Losier ’27 helps achieve this goal at practice through hard work and a strong mindset.
“We prepared at practice yesterday, just going over drills, corners and some passing drills,” Losier said. “My mindset for the game was to push as hard as I can to win.”
The team showed their skills throughout the game, transitioning the ball across the field and setting each other up to score. While the team did secure the win in the second half, they are still improving during every game and practice to become the unbeatable team they are striving to be.
“The team could work on going to the ball quicker, taking free hits fast and using the sidelines more,” Losier said.
During practices led by Head Coach Gwyneth Tiderington, the team is focused not only on improving their skills, but also their teamwork and communication across all fronts.
“I would say the team played together really well,” Tiderington said. “We’re really coming together as a group, especially working on our passing, transitioning the field.”
