With graduation just around the corner, I am really looking forward to getting out of Grosse Pointe. I definitely want to go to college out of state and branch out from the “bubble”. I am looking at going to college in either Illinois, North Carolina, Kentucky or Ohio. I still have to visit different colleges and see what is the best fit for me.
After school gets out, I plan on spending a lot of time working and making money to go to college. I also want to spend time with my friends before we all go our separate ways. Many of us are having graduation parties, which will be great opportunities for us to make some final memories together.
I plan on working as a coach at the city park again this summer. I will have to coach practices in the morning and the afternoon, and then meets during the week and on Saturdays. I will also continue babysitting in my free time to get some extra money. I really want to try and save the money I make for college and not just spend it the second my paycheck comes in.
When I’m not working, I want to hang out with my friends and family. I love spending days on the lake, boating or jet skiing. I also love laying out at the pool with my friends, and I love having people over at my house to swim and tan if I want to be with a big group of friends. My dad sometimes will grill out and we will have a nice dinner outside while watching TV outside with a fire, then jump in the hot tub once the sun goes down. These are the moments I want to remember before going to college.
I want to get in every last Sunday family dinner I can before I go to college. Every Sunday we will have dinner as a family, either at home and we all cook or we will go out to dinner. My family is all really busy during the week, which means we don’t get to spend much time together so I really want to cherish those Sunday nights.
My sister and I have finally got past the fighting stage so we will be hanging out a lot. We love to swim and shop together, and I know she will miss me when I am gone, so I want to leave with her having great memories of us in the summer.
