Entering her final year at South, Mira Haurani ’25 is a second year staffer on Tower. Haurani is very active and can be found playing tennis or swimming. Beyond that, she loves to socialize with her friends and travel. This year she will be taking on the role of supervising web editor and can’t wait for the Tower to start back up.
“Something I enjoy about this class is the fact that everyone is able to show their creativity in different ways,” Haurani said. “It also helps connect all the students because we work together as a team.”
This summer, Haurani spent the majority of her time working as a lifeguard and babysitting. With her additional free time she enjoyed hanging out with friends, shopping and soaking up as much pool time as possible.
Haurani is looking forward to forming new connections and is here to help and guide the new staff members in any way she can.
” I can’t wait to meet the new staffers and help them with anything that comes their way,” Haurani said.
Anthony Kaminski ’26 is a reuniting staffer who once was a web editor, but in his second year on staff, is taking on the role of Associate Web editor. After being a staffer for a year now, Kaminski is excited to see what the new year will look like.
“I like how there are so many options to be creative throughout journalism,” Kaminski said. “It’s not just writing stories.”
Even with being in a high position in Tower, Kaminski still has time for his other extracurriculars: varsity choir, swim, Club Latino, Men of Vision club, and playing many instruments while writing his own music.
“I don’t really talk about it much but I’m in choir,” Kaminski said. “The topic never really comes up, but when it does I will find any chance to talk about music.”
With the crazy schedule Kaminski has, he still finds the time to relax. He loves watching sports, he even has a fantasy football team, and he will always have time for his friends.
“No matter how busy I am, I will always make time for my friends,” Kaminski said. “My friends and family are very important to me.”
