Unleashing the power for girls’ JV basketball

The Girls’ JV Basketball team started off with a bang with the final score of their game being 29-11, a great win for the Blue Devils team.

The girls made some amazing saves, and as they prepare for the next upcoming game Kalie Page ’26 mentions her emotions throughout the game and what she did to help out her team.

“The most intense moment in the game was the third quarter because we hardly scored at all and were starting to lose our lead,” Page said.

Along with other athletes, Shea Dolle ’26 helps engage her team with improving herself, as well as her skills. She talks about how her coaches help motivate her and make improvements for not only herself but her teammates as well.

“Our coach is so fun and just got us hyped for the game,” Dolle said. ”The advice she gave us was very helpful and she really made us prepared for our first game and made us closer as a team.”

Along with winning games, gaining experience and obtaining accomplishments, the team has helped create strong bonds within the team which helps the teammates work well together. Page noticed this as she played.

“I love the bonds that I’ve made with my teammates, most of them I’ve just met but I think learning together and spending so much time together every day has made us become better players,” Page said. “I’m excited for the rest of the season with the group of girls we have, and I think we will be really successful.”

In addition to the strong bonds and hard work the team does together, it also creates interesting games to spectate. Dolle talks about how when her teammates come together, it creates a spark in the team which really pushes them to work harder.

“We have a lot of fun in practice along with getting things done,” Dolle said. “We always are saying something positive or helping each other and it creates a very good environment for everyone to improve and have fun.”
