Powderpuff volleyball showdown takes the court in a battle of bumps, sets, and fun

Game after game, win after win, volleyball powderpuff was a hit. Final game was the Wisconsin Badgers against the Snow bunnies. The Badgers pulled through with the win with a tight game ending and a score of 29-27. When it came down to the win, communication was key.

“We made sure to tell each other how we wanted to play,” Franklin Gallagher ’25 said. “We focused on passing the ball around and most importantly, not returning the ball on the first hit.”

After playing three different games, it can get tiring. The badgers were determined to win leading to energy boosts throughout the night.

“Our morale was just up,” Gallager said. “We knew that we wanted to win and kept the motor going.”

Out of the whole day, the championship round was the hardest to win.

“We definitely had to put our all into the championship round,” Gallager said. ”I’d also give credit to the team, sugar, spice & everything nice, because they also played an excellent game.”

Look out for the badgers coming back next year to go for the championship again.

“We are all juniors except for Karter Richards,” Gallager said. “We’ll be looking for a couple free agents to fill that position so we can repeat next year.”
