Brows and beauty bundles for homecoming

From dresses and suits to nails and corsages, Homecoming is an expensive event for students. While these things aren’t necessities, girls often fork over a hefty load of cash to look and feel their best for the dance. Cosmetologist Lya Ostrowski said she offers a makeup and hairstyle bundle for $75. According to Ostrowski, the beauty bundle was made to allure students without being too costly.
“My goal was to do this bundle and attract some students who want to look more beautiful for the special event,” Ostrowski said.
Ostrowski learned these skills in New York and Mexico and has been in the beauty business since 2016. Aside from the hair and makeup bundle, Ostrowski offers additional services, such as brow care, to glam girls up for the big night.
“I offer brow shaping and, of course, hair and makeup,” Ostrowski said. “I’m working to get into microblading right now.”
According to Ostrowski, she has done bridal makeup for the Grosse Pointe Magazine and is eager to do hair and makeup for anyone interested.
“Back in March, I did bridal makeup for the Grosse Pointe magazine and it was a good opportunity to get into this,” Ostrowski said.
