Black Owned Buisnesses to support Black Friday

As the temperature starts to drop and coats make their annual return so is the holiday season! Whether it be Christmas, Hanukkah or Thanksgiving many of the upcoming months will be full of gift giving and quality time with those who mean the world to us. There are many brilliant Black-owned businesses across the metro Detroit area that produce quality products and deserve recognition. These businesses may be your next stop to get a head start on purchasing the best gifts of the season.

As Streetwear becomes more popular each day brands such as Supreme and Kith seem to sell out early. Despite having such large demand and little supply the business of buying and reselling these items has allowed fanatics to have access to these unique pieces for themselves. The Restaurant Fashion Bistro is a resale store based in Southfield, Mi and the owner Ben Graham has helped these luxury brands touch the streets of Detroit for over five years.

“We have been in business since March of 2014 and have housed some of the most incredibly popular brands.” Graham said “We have anything you could think of from Off-White to Bape to VLONE, We sell it all.”

Graham worked in the retail and resale industry for 13 years prior to the debut of the Fashion Bistro. Despite having such success in his business Graham wasn’t always so sure about opening up his own shop.

“I never really wanted to take the chance to just jump out there and open up you know, because at times you feel like you might fail.” Graham said “I didn’t make it happen by myself, my partner and I did it together and now we’re one of the most popular stores in Michigan and I couldn’t be more grateful for all of the support my team and I have seen.”

The Restaurant Fashion Bistro has annual holiday events which allow hypebeasts from all over the metro Detroit area to get their hands on clothing that would otherwise be unavailable to them. One of their events is taking place within the upcoming week according to Graham.

“Around Thanksgiving we have a huge sale every year.” Graham said “It’s called the Early bird sale and is one of our most unique sales. We’re open from 8am to 9am and mark 50% off of all clothing and accessories in the store on Black Friday but it’s only for one hour so we advise everyone to wake up early and come get dripped out.”
