Future do’s and don’t for homecoming week

  1. On your spirit day, come to school wearing your spirit shirt to march at your classes designated time.
  2. Go to the last float party  to help with last minute preparations.
  3. Wear your school spirit shirt to school on Friday for the pep assembly. Come to school assembly at 2:15 PM to show your class spirit.
  4. Come to Mason Elementary School for the parade and wear your class shirt. Bring money and your ID to get into the football game immediately following the parade.
  5. Arrive at the dance no later than 8:30 P.M. It allows you extra time if you are running late. At 9:00 P.M. the doors close and you will not be able to enter.  This policy is a strictly enforced.
  6. Police, teachers and administrators are patrolling the parking lot and entrances to the school, so enter the J entrance of the S Building.
  7. If you are girl, bring comfortable socks or shoes to change into. You can store your heels in the coat room. Bring a purse large enough with a zipper or a closure system to put your phone in so your phone does not fall out.  Bring safety pin in case of a dress problem.
  8. Follow the dress code. Do the sitting in a chair test.
  9. Boys, wear a tie, dress shirt and light fabric pants.  A sport coat is optional. Put a notecard in the sport coat pocket with your name, grade and phone number in case your coat is lost or mistaken. Put your phone in a safe pocket in your sport coat and check the coat. Wear shoes that are comfortable and broken in. Be aware it can be hot in the gym.
  10. Check your stuff in the coat room with the parents and make sure you write the number that corresponds to your stuff on your hand. Leave the coat room quickly and make your ride plans in the hall not in the coat room. There are over 1,100 students who need all their belongings too.
  11. If you have an issue during the dance please see a teacher or parent for help.
  12. There are refreshments available during the dance in the Student Commons.
  13. Thank teachers and parents for their help in making the event a success.

Do not do the following

  1. Be late to the dance.
  2. Make bad choices (No drugs or alcohol).
  3. Ask to leave before 10:30 P.M. unless it is an emergency.
  4. Leave your stuff in the coat room until you get a number on your hand.
  5. Leave anything at the dance.
  6. Use any entrances other than the S-Lot or J-Lot entrances.
