Has AI ever helped you? Probably. Things like social media and GPS systems are all materials of AI that we don’t realize we use each day. Kate Dixon ’25 and Mira Haurani ’25 go into the details of how AI affects our day to day.
Aside from her job on Tower, first-year staff writer Kate Dixon ’25 is a student athlete and a part of the Varsity Softball team and the Girls Varsity Swim and Dive team, along with being a member of varsity club and student council.
“One thing I like about doing extracurriculars is you get to do something fun at school other than the learning and homework,” Dixon said.
Doing something she loves while having fun with her friends was a driving force for Dixon in joining The Tower staff. She said she is also excited to have her name in print.
“Making a story I am proud of then being able to have my peers read it will definitely make me feel accomplished,” Dixon said.
First year staffer, Mira Haurani ’25 has many interests aside from her Tower duties. She’s either in the pool swimming for South’s girls team, on the tennis court playing or off traveling somewhere. Aside from her many activities she’s a part of, Haurani is excited to start her first on Tower as a Web editor.
“I’m excited to learn how to actually post (on web), and actually post stories,” Haurani said.
She is excited for her upcoming year of writing, editing and posting stories. Aside from her duties as web editor, Haurani is excited to be able to collaborate with other people.
