Northport Golf Course. Hole seven. 15 feet to the hole. The summer heat beating down on him, first year Web Editor Luke Parent ’26 has one more shot to make the eagle.
“I saw (the hole) was a par five and I shot it in two shots against my dad,” Parent said. “I ended up winning 50 bucks on that route; it was pretty great.”In the Parent family, taking Tower is a tradition. “I had three of my siblings take (Tower),” Parent said. “I wanted to follow in their footsteps and sharpen my writing skills.”Parent’s love for sports doesn’t stop at the golf course. He is a dedicated JV football player and an optimistic Detroit Lions fan.“I’ve watched (the Lions) with my dad ever since I was little,” Parent said. “They're gonna go big this year. They are going to make the playoffs (and) win the Super Bowl, obviously.”
