Anastasija Bogoevich, Copy Editor
After following in her father’s footsteps in journalism, Anastasija Bogoevich ’27 is passionately ready to begin her first year on staff as a copy editor.
“I ended up really liking [journalism] when I took honors journalism,” Bogoevich said. “I just really enjoy writing and having people listen to it.”
Not only is she a dedicated student in the classroom, but she dominates on the field while playing on South’s JV lacrosse team. Alongside that, she’s had a certain hobby since she was just 18 months old.
“My mom used to be a dance teacher, so whenever she wanted to dance, she’d just grab me,” Bogoevich said. “We’d just do something quick though.”
She also helps younger kids learn to dance, which connects naturally with her love for music. Her taste ranges from artists such as Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish to older bands such Nirvana.
“My uncle’s in a band, and he said he’d teach me [to play an instrument],” Bogoevich said. “I never got around to it, but I’d love to learn guitar or bass someday.”
