In a great team effort, the boys hockey team defeated cross town rival Liggett, Wednesday night, with a score of 5-2.
“We all played very well,” said Tyler Demery ‘14. “All four lines went as hard as they could throughout the game.”
“The best success was the special teams unit,” Said Captain Andrew Bigham ‘14.
Kenny Cervone and Andrew Hyde, both ‘14, each had a goal on the night with the other goals scored by Ian Corbet and Cam Mogk (2) both ‘15.
Liggett is always a close and exciting game so it was good to get a win over them after a loss to them in overtime earlier in the season .
“We capitalized on Liggett’s mistakes and played really well during both the powerplay and penalty kill,” said Demery.
“We need to come into every game with intensity and play it like its our last game,” said Demery. “We can’t take anything for granted.”
With their victory over Ligget on Wednesday that extends their winning streak to an amazing 13 games in a row.
