Boys Hockey rolls past Woodhaven, 7-3

By Harrison Krasner ’14 and Adam Morris ’15 | Staff Writers

In a dominant offensive performance, the boys hockey team rolled over Woodhaven, Wednesday night, with a score of 7-3.

“We got the puck in deep and worked hard as a unit,” said Mark Cimmarusti ‘16. “Goal scorers did what they needed to do.”

Captain Andrew Bigham and assistant captain Andrew Hyde, both ‘14, each had a hat trick on the night with the other goal scored by Tyler Demery ‘14.

According to Bigham, as the season comes to an end the team needs to work on playing hard throughout the whole game.

“We can’t let teams back in the game,” said Bigham.

Team chemistry is also a focus of the team as playoffs approach, according to Cimmarusti. Bigham has been working hard on improving the team’s chemistry on and off the ice. He said that when a team has better chemistry, they can trust each other more and take advantage of their competitors.

“I’m looking forward to the rest of our schedule,” said Bigham. “Our goal is to make a run at the championship.”

“We are going to prove all the doubters wrong,” said Cimmarusti.

They will host Detroit Country Day at home on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
