Members of rowing team show strength at Midwest Regatta

At the Columbus Fall Classic Regatta, the Detroit Boat Club took South rowers to compete against the top competition in the Midwest. The Regatta was held on Saturday in Columbus, Ohio.

The Girls lightweight four-person boat consisted of Maggie Sullivan ’13, Alison Matthews ’15, Sarah Tischbein ’16, Gaby Tucker ’14, and was coxed by Becca Constant ’15. The girls took home first place in the event.

Other first place finishes were taken by the boys single Andrew Seski ’13, the boys double of Michael Landuyt ’15 and Dylan Goitz ’14 (University of Liggett), and the boys pair of Raymond Mattingly ’15 (North) and Christian Nemeh ’15.

The Detroit Boat clubs next regatta is Saturday, Oct. 15 in Westerville, Mich.
