Senior year is bittersweet. As we look forward to the next chapter of our lives, the one behind us is coming to a close. Spirit week is undoubtedly the most anticipated week of the year, from your class’s spirit day to the celebrations of unity, it is a week full of fun and co memory for each class.

As a senior, I can safely say that my last homecoming week was one to remember– wearing past year’s spirit day shirts to the homecoming dance that follows the week was enjoyable. Being a senior during the week is odd, it seems as though, throughout the week, you finally realize how much you’ve matured..

Aside from spirit day, we have unity day, which is the Friday of spirit week. Unity day is an exciting day because there is a pep assembly at the end of the day in anticipation for the weekend ahead. As a senior, unity day is especially lively since we get our long awaited senior T-shirts and get to make an appearance in the pep assembly.

The parade is another great part of spirit week since it is such a communal event. Leading up to the game, many people, and families, come to watch the parade and see all of the floats for each class so it is fun to be a part of it, and everyone gets excited for the game

The homecoming football game is a great way to ring in some school spirit and unify the school further before the homecoming dance.

Senior year is the beginning of the end, and it is important to have fun since it is the last time around.
