Rozzi Crane will soon be a household name if her EP “Space” continues its succession up the charts.

Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, Crane graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in music.

In 2012, Crane became the first artist to sign onto Adam Levine’s 222 Records, a label created especially for her.  This gave Crane a unique advantage.

“Space” is Crane’s record label debut. Released on Feb. 16,  it peaked at No. 18 on the iTunes pop charts and  is currently at No. 71.

The EP mixes pop with Crane’s soulful spark. Her voice is rich and strong, yet also has the ability to be dynamic in both volume and energy. Crane is a rare talent.

“Crazy A– B—-” (“CAB”) is the most popular song on “Space” for many reasons, one of which is the adoration of Crane’s budding fanbase. Wherever Crane has toured, whether it’s been with Maroon 5 or Gavin DeGraw, she’s sung “CAB.” The sassy and soulful song is about a boyfriend who’s out of control but with attitude in all the right places.

“But if we get into a fight / He just turns out all the lights / Then he’s got me for real,” This line is an example of Crane’s strong writing style and voice, which she uses to belt the prelude to the chorus of “CAB.” Over the past three years she’s toured, the song has clearly become her anthem.

Another song on the EP, “Painkiller,” features Levine, Crane’s close friend and record label owner. The duo harmonize well together which gives “Painkiller” much potential, but Crane and Levine fell into the trap of synthesizers.
