On Wednesday, Sept. 28, the lady Blue Devils ventured into enemy territory to defeat Stevenson High School. Lilah Supino ’24 started off with a serve, prompting the Blue Devils to have a strong lead throughout the first set, which they won 25-15. The energy from the first set carried through the rest of the game, as they won the second set 25-18, and the third 25-17.

Gabby DiVita ’26 and Ella Andrews ’26 lead the team on offense with outstanding performance in the front row. Collectively, the pair of freshmen earned the team 24 kills and four aces throughout the game. Overall, the team displayed an outstanding performance on offense and defense alike.

“It was a great game with a great team,” Ally Edwards ’24 said.

This game has been far from the only victory for the girls, considering they have gone nearly undefeated in their league games with a 5-1 record. South’s varsity team has played out of their minds this season, and hopes to go far in districts, regionals and states.
