White Converse high-tops: We are taking it back to the 80’s. The high-top converse brings back a vintage, more hipster look to a modern day outfit. These shoes can be worn in a couple different ways. First, with the laces tied tightly all the way to the top of the shoe. The other way would be to untie the the laces for or five holed from the top and have the tongue of the shoe loosely hang out, showing off a more casual style.

Patterned headbands: Patterned headbands are the perfect thing to throw on when you’re having a bad hair day. Quickly throw your hair in a messy bun and toss on a headband. Aside from helping you out in your time of stress, wearing a patterned headband is the perfect way to add a pop of color or bling to your outfit.

Plaid shirts: Plaid shirts are one of the trendiest shirts being worn this fall. One way to pull off this look is by pairing it with a simple shirt, over a pair of leggings, and some ankle booties.  The newest way of wearing this shirt is by not really wearing it at all. You start by wearing a basic shirt and some type of pants. Then you top off the outfit by simply tying the plaid shirt around your waist.This gives off an edgy sense of style.

Military trench coat: This military style coat is the new look. It can be worn as a dressy coat or a casual coat. It can be paired with a simple shirt in order to complement the jacket which leaves the jacket to be the main piece of the outfit.

The oversized sweater: This look has been one of the most worn looks for the past few seasons fall and is popular this year. It is the perfect mix between comfort and style. You can choose a more simple style sweater and pair it with a drastic, patterned pant. Or, you can go full-on comfy and just throw on a pair of leggings and booties.

Sorel boots: When the weather is becoming cooler the Sorel boot is the perfect way to keep in touch with style while protecting your feet from the cold weather. This boot is nicely paired with an oversized sweatshirt, to keep the comfy and warm feel to your outfit. Although this boot comes off as more of a casual look, it has a way of complementing a dressier shirt as well.

Fit-and-Flare Skirt: Wearing a fit-and-flare skirt brings an outfit to its maximum level of style. For a cute and casual look, the fit-and-flare skirt (a.k.a circle skirt) should be worn with a simple sweater along with knee-high boots which will bring out the length in your legs. For an evening look, change your sweater to a form fitted blouse and add some closed-toe boot.

Lululemon tops: If you’re in the mood to “scrub”, Lululemon tops are the perfect choice. Despite their high price, Lulu tops are by far one of the most comfortable tops. Throw on a pair of yoga pants, Nike shoes, and a headband and you will be sporting  the cute, athletic look.  You can add a cute zip up to keep warm.

Neutral color lace/print dresses: Dresses can be a big no in the fashion world when fall comes around due to its drop IN temperatures. But a cream lace dress paired with booties and a sweater can turn a summer dress into a fall fashion statement. If the sweater is too hot for a warm fall day, remove the sweater and wear knee high boots with high socks.

Leather: Too much leather can come off as a little too edgy. But when different bits and pieces of leather are added to an outfit, it takes the look to a whole other level. Leather gives off a chic yet edgy style. One way to include a leather aspect is by wearing a shirt with a leather material detailed on the sleeves of a shoulder. Another way, is when the front of the shirt is leather while the back is left untouched by leather.

These ten fashion items are a must for your fall closet. They are this year’s top trends and can be worn with a variety of different outfits. With these pieces, you’ll have an extraordinary fashion sense for fall.
