Graduating seniors with outstanding achievements were honored on Thursday, May 16 at 7 p.m. during Senior Honors Night, Student Activities coordinator Maria Mitzel said.

“It was a wonderful night, and it is a wonderful way to honor all the hard work the seniors have done,” said Mitzel.

Several academic, athletic and service awards were presented to members of the senior class, Stephanie Gryebet ’13 said.

“It is really important for the parents,” said Mitzel. “I think they love for their kids to be recognized for their hard work.”

Members of the Class of 2013 with a GPA of 3.5 and above and 3.75 and above, respectively, were presented as members of the Academic Hall of Fame and Phi Beta Kappa, Mitzel said.

Some of the most prestigious awards were the Evans Scholarship (Bradley Sanford), Principal’s Leadership Award (Kelly Cullen, Neal Jeup, Olivia Monette and Max Roeske) and a U.S. Air Force Academy Scholarship (Michael Aro), Mitzel said.

The Senior Honors Night presentation also included a string quartet musical prelude by Hannah Adams, Spencer Korejwo and Janey Degnan, all ’14, and Chenoa Gachupin ’15.

“It was nice to see how many seniors worked so hard for the honors they received,” said Stephanie Gryebet ’13.
