Alya Augspurger ’26 is a girl who enjoys sports and socializing with her friends. She is very accessible and plays travel and high school soccer. She finds time to work hard in school, primarily in honors subjects. Although she enjoys education, she dislikes math because it has always been boring to learn. She developed a passion for English and specifically writing, because it came effortlessly to her.Joining the Honors Journalism course her freshman year changed everything for her. She was drawn to Honors Journalism because it provided an outlet for her creativity, responsibility, and an overall positive outlook for the future. She enjoys getting to know new people and collaborating on assignments. The print addition at the end of the year was her most memorable aspect of this class because it allowed her to do so.“I feel like it’s a really great way to meet a lot of people,” Augspurger said. She has always been a fantastic writer, but pursuing the Tower became a must for her because the class is going to improve her writing skills, which is why she joined the Tower.“When I have the time to do it, writing has always been really fun for me,” Augspurger said.
