After a fun summer of tubing with friends and seeing Zach Bryan at a concert with her older sister, Amelia MacGillis ’27 is eager to start her first year on Tower. Macgillis loved honors journalism, particularly the writing aspect, which is why she decided to take up the position of a staff writer. In general, she loves journalism for the teamwork aspect of it.

“It can really help you express your thoughts while getting to work with others to create something awesome,” MacGillis said.

When she isn't playing softball or swimming for South, Macgillis fills her time by hanging out with her friends, napping, eating tacos and watching her two favorite TV shows, “Hart of Dixie” and “Criminal Minds.”
