Jacob Ashkar ’23, Social Media Manager
Jacob Ashkar ’23 is a third-year staffer and social media manager of The Tower. He joined The Tower because he liked the environment and opportunities it provided him. “I really love the experiences journalism gives you,” Ashkar said. “In Tower, you get to go out in the community and see what people are doing all around you.” In addition to his work on The Tower, Ashkar is also interested in psychology. Over the past summer, Ashkar researched future professions that involve psychology and is particularly interested in neuroscience. “During college, I want to study something with neuroscience because it adds a lot of aspects of psychology but it also brings in a lot of science and math, which I am also really passionate about, “ Ashkar said. Although he’s sad to leave South, Ashkar is excited to start new adventures in neuroscience.
