Long-time biology teacher and Science Olympiad adviser Shelly Rothenbuhler has taken on teaching ICREATE, and the Science Olympiad club seized the opportunity to practice in the Cotton Innovation Center.
Located off the main gym, the CIC is utilized by a number of classes and provides students with the necessary technology to be successful in many different aspects of STEM according to co-president Camille O’Mara ’23.
“(Mrs. Rothenbuhler) now has us meet there because many tools and such are in there,” O’Mara said. “It’s full of great resources we can use for the Science Olympiad since it’s basically a design space full of different technology resources that are used for robotics, engineering, electronic software, and manufacturing new inventions.”
