After discovering a newfound love for journalism, Mallory Blake ’26 couldn’t be more excited to start her first year on Tower as a staff writer. Before high school, Blake didn’t know much about journalism, but to her surprise, she learned to enjoy both the interview and writing aspects of working on a newspaper.

“Honestly, writing gives me a sense of freedom and accomplishment,” Blake said. “I always feel really calm while I’m writing. Plus I’ve always thought that sharing my work and opinions with people through a real newspaper was cool.”

Underneath her shy and reserved shell, Blake has a super bubbly and kind personality. Whether she’s spending time with her family or laughing with her friends at track practice in the spring, you can count on her to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
