After attentively following the news since childhood, Lucas Minadeo ’25 has found himself as a staff writer on Tower for his senior year. No form of journalism has ever been unappealing to Minadeo, who is constantly reading articles, watching news broadcasts, and living in the know.

“The reason I joined the Tower is because I’ve always been involved with the news in one way or another,” Minadeo said. “I think I’d be good at writing stories myself.”

When he’s not chasing a lead or following a controversial topic, Minadeo spends his time being active and playing soccer or taking in other forms of media.

“I have always preferred shows over movies,” Minadeo said. “I enjoy watching shows like HBO’s ‘Silicon Valley’ or Peacock’s ‘The Thick of It’ in my free time.”

Excited to share his unique wealth of knowledge with The Tower, Minadeo also hopes to contribute to The Tower in other ways as well.

“I want to add some new perspectives and writing styles to the Tower,” Minadeo said. “It might make a difference.”
