As a first year staffer, Jude O’Meara ’27 is new to Tower, but what isn’t new is his appreciation for writing and language. Growing up watching his mother’s career as a journalist, he has always been encouraged to follow in her footsteps and start his own path in writing. But O'Meara's passion for the art of literature is deeper than that, which is evident in his taste in music.

“[My favorite artist is] probably Kendrick Lamar,” O’Meara said.

When listening to Lamar’s music, O’Meara recognizes him not only as a rapper, but a talented writer.

“He has the best writing out of anyone I listen to,” O’Meara said. “I think he’s the most fluid and makes the most sense.”
