Cecile Walsh is creative in every way possible. She is super crafty; painting her nails every weekend and producing little projects whenever she can. She’s an active member of the Poetry Slam club and goes on fun trips, such as the Mackinac Island trip as part of the Poetry Slam club. In her free time, she is a personal assistant to a local children’s book author, pursuing her love of English outside of school.
Cecile joined Tower to use her love of writing to become more immersed in the news and what’s going on in the world, as well as to help others become more aware and in the loop.
“It can be really interesting and fulfilling to help people stay more informed,” Walsh said.
This year, she hopes to stay on top of all of her duties, to progress throughout the school year.

FEAR OF MISSING OUT An aspect of social media that has seemed to increase the amount of usage of it is the amount of news and current events that are discussed on these apps. “It’s entirely possible for there to be a disconnect between people who aren’t on social media and those who are,” Parent said. “If you’re not on it, you’re missing out on a lot of memes and viral content, so I can imagine for people who aren’t on it, there can be a sense of distance or isolation.”

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: N/A While games that are meant to make you think in ways like these can be frustrating, Birnholz likes to remind players that the more you do them, the more you adapt strategies and other methods to help you improve. “It's not meant to be a knowledge test or a trivia test as much as it is about just the amusement you get from wordplay,” Birnholz said.
