During the March 31 Board of Education (BOE) meeting, GPPSS welcomed Dee Ann Irby as their new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This came after the district introduced interim CFO Shelbi Frayer during their March 3 meeting to fill the position of Brandy Pavlik, who resigned for personal reasons in late December 2024.
The switch in admin follows the BOE 7-0 vote during their March 18 Special Meeting to hire Irby.
“She served for 20 years in financial management in both schools and municipalities,” Superintendent Dr. Andrea Tuttle said during the March 31 meeting. “She has worked in our district before, she lives very close by, so she is very familiar with Grosse Pointe.”
Irby has managed finances for both Grosse Pointe Woods and Bloomfield Hills. Her first tasks as the new CFO will be working on finalizing the 2025-26 budget and getting this school year’s audit, collaborating closely with the BOE and central administration.
“We are really excited to have her [Irby],” Tuttle said. “I want to welcome you [Irby] and thank you for being here.”
