The Student Association (SA) is introducing a winter king and queen event. The goal of it is to bring more excitement and school spirit to South. Olivia McMillin ’25, Vice President of SA, said that each grade will have a paired couple who will submit festive, funny videos. These videos will be shown on the school announcements, allowing the whole school to watch and vote on their favorite couple.
“We wanted to do something during the holidays that got the school excited and festive,” McMillin said.
SA works hard to organize many events, they divide each of those tasks into different committees with around two leaders. McMillin said this event will have one as well.
“Our committee plans the advertisements of the social media, the voting process, and the collection of the videos,” McMillin said. “The winner will be announced over the PA and maybe involve a prize, we are voting on it next meeting.”
