The Wendy’s Krabby Patty collaboration was disappointing and underwhelming. It was a partnership between the fast food chain Wendy’s and the tv channel Nickelodeon. It was for the 25 anniversary of the hit show Spongebob Square Pants. When ordered the meal was bagged in a normal Wendy’s brown paper bag, with a little sheet of stickers. It also included a thirty-day free use coupon for Paramount Plus streaming service along with a normal burger and shake. Also, the bag was greasy, leading me to believe that it was sitting out for a while.
As well as the presentation of the meal was lacking, the overly-sweet aftertaste of the pineapple shake, paired with the bland burger and small fries was saddening to receive. After all the hype around the meal from the advertisements and promotions, it was a let down. First of all,The burger was overcooked. It had no unique taste, and the toppings were bunched on the burger, giving each bite too much or too little taste. The seasoning was supposed to be original but tasted like any other burger from a fast food chain. The fries were soggy and cold, making them lose flavor. Also the price of the meal was slightly under 11 dollars, making it decently expensive for nothing special fast food meal.
Overall, I would give this meal a four out of ten for the lack of “Krabby patty” collaboration theme and creativity. The food did not taste good and was also quite pricey, which is not what you want when it comes to fast food. But, I did not go lower than a four because I received the food fast and efficiently. But no amount of good service could make up for the subpar meal and I was still underwhelmed.
