Beginning in August, the spooky preparations start for the Haunted Garage with the opening night being Oct. 10. As it’s known for its chilling experience, the Haunted Garage is suitable for almost all ages.
From the doughnuts to the thrilling attractions, for someone like Alexa Rimpela ’26 who has been looking forward to it every year, the Haunted Garage is a Halloween must.
“I’ve been going every year since the fourth grade. It’s something I look forward to every year and it’s like a tradition for me to go every year with my mom,” Rimpela said.
The Haunted Garage is something everyone in the community can always look forward to. With the option of being scared or not, it is filled with things that are amusable to everyone of all ages.
“My favorite part is the doughnuts I always get after and I love how there’s live actors so you never know when someone will just pop out,” Rimpela said.
As Grosse Pointe is a small community and most Halloween attractions are far away, having something so local and authentic is something that makes the community even better.
“I think it’s really cool how they do it for the community and I think it’s a really fun thing to look forward to,” Rimpela said.
