Girls Varsity lacrosse team loses playoff match to Bloomfield Hills, 17-10
The girls Varsity lacrosse team ended their season in a playoff match, losing to Bloomfield Hills 17-10 on May 23rd.
“We could improve on our communication that is big, we did kind of okay on that but communication definitely and also when we are working down the field, getting open for those transition passes “ said Captain Elise Whitney ‘18.
The girls goal for next year is to improve communication throughout the team.
“I think a lot of what we need to work on for next season is getting the ball off the drop because if you look at our games versus other teams. That is where they beat us every single time.” said Captain Kathryn Williamson ‘17.

“Our defense is good, our offense is good once we get the ball but if we don’t get it off the draw then it is hard to come back against these teams” said Kathryn Williamson ‘17.
Even though the team lost to Bloomfield hills, players were still enthusiastic about the team’s plays.
“Honestly we could approve nothing. We played the best game of our entire season and it was really hype.” said Stephanie Vermet ‘17.
The team was eliminated from the playoffs in the first round, making this the last game of the season.
This was the senior players last game, because of losing this playoff game.
“It is really sad, sentimental. I have been playing and doing this since freshman year so it is kind of sad.” Vermet said.
Without the senior players, the team might be a little bumpy next year.
“Next year is going to be a little rough, definitely a development year.” Whitney said.
