SNL has always had incredible digital shorts and commercial parodies, so they all deserve their own list.
Eddie Murphy disguises himself as a white man to see the differences white men have versus black men. He is shocked at how much he can get away with when white and discovers a whole new world.
Sandler, Farley, Speedos. This short perfectly mocks beer commercials while having some fun with incredibly fit men (and not so fit men) in speedos.
One of my personal favorites because of how catchy the song is, Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell plan to see the “Chronicles of Narnia” together and go around New York getting snacks and preparing. This sketch is also what made YouTube blow up. People were sharing it on this “new” website and Youtube gained more and more popularity.
Iconic. Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg’s digital short was one that nobody saw coming. The outfits, the music, the concept. It’s all so ridiculous, and it’s fantastic.
SNL has always succeeded with commercial parodies, especially with something like mom jeans. “Something to say, you’re not a woman anymore.”
From last season, this sketch is already one of the best starring the girls of SNL. Whenever the girls make a song it’s a hit, but this one takes the cake.
This sketch (from this season) perfectly satirizes how women are portrayed in commercials. Vanessa Bayer is incredible as the suburban wife who loves to make Totino’s Pizza Rolls for her “hungry guys.”
Everything is accurate. Everything.
Will Ferrell teaches you how to properly train your dog, with sarcasm. What other way is there?
10. “Watcha Say”
Mmm watcha say.
