In addition to being a web editor, Sofie Dejaeghere ‘25 loves her place in Tower. From the immense freedom of writing that comes with it, to the diverse amount of ideas coming from story sign-up, she enjoys writing opinion pieces because they allow her to express her personal thoughts and ideas on topics she cares about.

“I love Tower because we have the freedom to write about anything we want and pretty much do whatever we’re interested in,” Dejaeghere said.

While active in and out of Tower, she is a committed athlete and plays golf. She loves the leniency that comes with it. While playing with some of her best friends, she especially enjoys the freedom that also comes with the sport and she recommends joining.

“Most sports are really strict and golf is not. Basically, you do whatever you want and it’s really fun because all of the people there are all super nice.”
