Recently, students have noticed the new flashy design on the police vehicle dedicated for South High School. Designed by Nate Michaud ’25, the car’s unique artwork directly relates to all South has to offer. Michaud displayed the South colors, blue and gold, along with logos such as the Blue Devil, the Tower logo, and the Grosse Pointe logo. South’s resource officer Jim Labeau asked Michaud to redesign it, wanting to reflect the school in a positive way and show school spirit.
“It’s a great opportunity to use my skills for something cool,” Michaud said. “Doing this was a way to show what I am capable of.”
When discussing this with city officials, Michaud got lots of positive feedback. Not only did Grosse Pointe officials comment, but even other cities showed their support for the project.
“There has been such a positive response to this witch is great because I put a lot of time and effort into it,” Michaud said. “The overall process was seamless and I would for sure try something like this again.”
