The new skiing and snowboarding club took its first field trip to Mount Holly on Jan. 9.The club had a great time and plans to schedule more trips soon.
Mount Holly is an affordable option for students. It offers a student membership card with a one-time fee of $60 and discounted $30 tickets for future visits. .. Additionally, the ski lodge offers two free lessons for beginners. Chloe Slawson ’26, one of the presidents of the club, was excited to have 15 people attend their first event.
“Once we got there we were able to get our tickets really easily,” Slawson said. “We got in a lot of runs and it was a fun way to spend time with my friends.”
If students are interested in joining and attending a future field trip they can follow the club’s Instagram page to find out about upcoming events and go to Ms. Della Mora’s room S270 to purchase a membership card.
The club plans to continue organizing field trips throughout the winter, hoping to build a strong community of skiers and snowboarders.
“Hopefully students stay interested for a while,” Slawson said. “The field trip ended up being really fun.”
