The first part of the game was close. The score was 2-1. Both teams fought hard, but it wasn’t until a bit later that South got the breakthrough they had been looking for. Ruby Lenhard ’26 made a goal that gave their team the boost they needed.
“Scoring that goal was very exciting and relieving,” Lenhard said. “I feel like It was in a way the turning point of the game that motivated everyone.”
Bella Purruski ’25 although sitting out due to injury this game enjoyed watching her team play.
“The game was fun to watch,” Purruski said. Although it wasn’t our most intense game, it makes me excited to be back on the rink soon.”
Charlie Harr ’26 thinks that despite some minor setbacks the game proved what her team is capable of.
“I thought the game went very well. I think we could have done better with breakout passes and getting it out of our zone quicker,” Harr said. “Other than that I felt really good after the win, we all came out and won as a team and showed what we could do.”
Lenhard believes that even though they won by a large amount, it wasn’t their best game. She mentioned that while the score was strong, the team didn’t play as well as they could have. Despite the big win Lenhard believes there is room for improvement and is looking forward to future games.
“I know we won by a lot but I still don’t think this was our best game”. Lenhard said. “I’m excited to see the team continue getting better.”
