Dear underclassmen at Grosse Pointe South,
My name is Lucy Gabel and, as a senior, there is nothing I want to do more than help underclassmen navigate the educational and social aspects of high school. I will be diving into some of the highly stressed events and situations, offering my opinions and advice. My goal here is to guide underclassmen. Whether they listen or not is up to them.
I would consider myself a good source of information as I have experienced being dropped by a friend group, then finding and cultivating a new friend group. As well as navigating three high school relationships, two had rough endings. I was raised by parents that wanted the best for me, which included good grades, good manners, and a positive outlook on life.
That being said, if some of my thoughts and opinions do not resonate with you, take it with a grain of salt. The last thing I would ever want is to make students feel like my way is the right way, I am just offering my perspective and outlook on life as a teenager at Grosse Pointe South.
I hope some of my advice fills the ears and hearts of underclassmen while they walk the halls and happenings of Grosse Pointe South.
I will accept any questions/problems underclassmen have and respond in this column. The responses will be anonymous.
