Entering her final year at South, Mira Haurani '25 is a second year staffer on Tower. Haurani is very active and can be found playing tennis or swimming. Beyond that, she loves to socialize with her friends and travel. This year she will be taking on the role of supervising web editor and can't wait for the Tower to start back up.
“Something I enjoy about this class is the fact that everyone is able to show their creativity in different ways,” Haurani said. “It also helps connect all the students because we work together as a team.”
This summer, Haurani spent the majority of her time working as a lifeguard and babysitting. With her additional free time she enjoyed hanging out with friends, shopping and soaking up as much pool time as possible.
Haurani is looking forward to forming new connections and is here to help and guide the new staff members in any way she can.
" I can't wait to meet the new staffers and help them with anything that comes their way,” Haurani said.
After a summer filled with traveling to places such as Ocean City, Anthony Kaminski ’26 is looking forward to becoming a part of Tower through his position as a web editor. Outside of Tower Kaminski can be found swimming endless hours or playing his favorite instruments such as guitar or piano.
“Overall I am a very active person and in the winter I swim for South along with participating in track and field in the springtime,” Kaminski said.
Although his participation in Tower may fool you, Kaminski is not primarily an “english guy”. Kaminski’s favorite subjects in school tend to lean more towards math and science related subjects. Despite this, Kaminski still has a soft spot for journalism and is excited to become a part of the Tower family.
“Through Tower I would like to become a better journalist and writer in general, along with simply creating bonds with the rest of my staff,” Kaminski said.
