While clubs are an essential part of connecting our student body and bringing new people together, the new Library Connect Club is also working to expand the range of literature available at South.
The club is currently planning its first event, a book drive, scheduled to take place shortly after Thanksgiving break. On top of planning events, the Library Connect Club has introduced students like Lily Frey ’26 to the benefits provided by the library.
“I joined Library Connect Club because I wanted to start reading more books this year and it was a good way to meet new people,” Frey said. “Plus, I was hoping to learn more about the resources the library has to offer so that I can actually start using them.”
After being in the works for three years, the Library Connect Club has finally started bi-monthly meetings and is officially underway and present with the student body.
“At our meetings on Monday mornings, we discuss any upcoming events we have and any new resources that might have a good impact on our library,” Frey said.
