Making a comeback after the pandemic, the South ski and snowboarding club is starting back up. Working with Mt. Holly’s ski club program, the South club, plans to help students hit the slopes. They will help to provide the club members with transportation, lift tickets, etc.
The club’s advisor, biology teacher Kristen Della Mora said the club is very accessible and wants to accommodate all students with a passion for skiing and snowboarding.
“Mt. Holly has a great program that offers lessons, so even beginners can come out,” Della Mora said. “Even experienced skiers can take lessons.”
If students are interested in joining the club, they can contact the club’s student leaders, Chloe Slawson ’26 and Lauren Cole ’27, or view their Instagram account at gps_skiandsnowclub. They are currently looking to expand club participation, allowing students to learn and improve their skills.
“Students are welcome to pop in anytime with questions,” Della Mora said. “They should also watch our social media for announcements.”
