About the Contributors
Julia Kado '24, Staff Writer
After spending the summer reading and blasting music, Julia Kado ’24 is back and ready for her last year on staff. Often found in Mr. Campion’s room, Kado enjoys diving into lectures, poems and thriller books. Kado is a third-year staffer who has grown into her own role on Tower over the past three years. Always up for a conversation, she is a self-proclaimed chatterbox. Kado has also created her own segment in the Tower, the Kado Chronicles. This book review column provides her a space to share her love for reading.“Books have been integral to me since before I could read,” Kado said. “Once I began to actually enjoy what I was reading, it gave me a million perspectives at once.”Through her segment, Kado said she wants to engage readers in new ideas and books, always looking for her next read.“I want to provide people with recommendations that will entice them and give them food for thought,” Kado said.
Miles Constantino '25, Multimedia Editor
Miles Constantino ’25 is a second-year staffer and Multimedia Editor for The Tower. He channels his love for music into his passion for journalism and podcasting. As an editor, Constantino has produced more podcasts than he can count.
“Podcasting is something that’s going to grow this year,” Constantino said.
He believes podcasting has an increasing role in how people consume news and loves creating content that connects with listeners.
Constantino’s enthusiasm for journalism is closely tied to his musical background. Since picking up the Viola in fifth grade, he has also learned the guitar, alto saxophone and piano, and now serves as the Treasurer of South’s orchestra. His dedication to both music and journalism allows him to find new ways to tell stories and connect with listeners. For Constantino, music, like journalism, is a way to express himself and his emotions.
“If I feel like I’m holding onto anxiety or depression, and just want to get it out, I just get it on a page,” Constantino said.
