With prom right around the corner, many questions have risen in regards to new COVID rules and protocols that will be in place at this year’s dance.

Prom will be held on Saturday, May 15 at the Roostertail in Downtown Detroit, senior class adviser Kendra Caralis said.

“As of right now, we’ve been given the directive that only Seniors at South will be allowed to attend,” Caralis said.

According to Caralis, the Roostertail will be following all executive COVID orders including spacing at tables, spreading out amongst a few rooms and providing an outdoor tent as well.

“Student council is still working out the details of possible COVID testing beforehand ,” Caralis said.

“We are hoping the event will be a fun event for all seniors to attend,” Caralis said. “ While we realize that it’s not the event everyone wanted, the class is doing their best to provide a fun event for everyone.”
