With the ’24-’25 school year off to a great start, all of the various activities and sports at South are having to adjust to the new year without the ’24 graduates who made up a majority of leadership positions last year. The Devil’s Den, the student section here at South, for example, always has a group of captains made up entirely of seniors. The new captains this year, Luna Agosta, Charlotte Messacar, Henry Tiderington, and Evan Bernard, all ’25, are thrilled to be a part of such a special tradition at South.
“I’m most looking forward to supporting all of the sports here at South. In past years, mainly football and basketball have gotten the attention. This year, however, we are excited to show up to as many big games as possible, for all the sports,” Agosta said.“I was most looking forward to the blackout football game which was a big success, and it was really fun and exciting seeing so many people show up,” Tiderington said.“I’m looking forward to the homecoming game. I think it’s going to be so fun seeing all the grades in their class shirts and getting the student section excited!” Messacar said.“I’m most looking forward to attending all of the games and getting as many fans to come out and support as many different sports as possible,” Bernard said.
